40,000 visitors, 120 master classes, 300 exhibitors and speakers: impressive figures to sum up the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival on 22 and 23 March in Hamburg.
This year, the Ryte team was represented at the OMR as exhibitors. At the Expo Special Stage in our masterclass "Don't just rebrand - reinvent" we were able to tell the 800 participants about our experiences of the rebranding process from OnPage.org to Ryte.
In this recap article, we tell you all about our experiences and highlights from the two-day fair.

The first day of OMR was Thursday, 22 March. The size of the halls gave our Orga team an idea of how many visitors were expected. The total number of visitors was 40,000, making OMR the top event in digital marketing in Europe this year. Of course Ryte couldn’t miss this! Our highly motivated team travelled to Hamburg the day before the exhibition started, ready to give 100% the following two days.
This year, the entire festival programme took place in four halls, and there were two additional areas for the master classes. More than 300 exhibitors presented their brands to the public in the first two halls at the Expo. Our stand was in hall A3 in the area D6/D7.
A stand alone was not enough for us this year. After all, a lot has changed since last year when we were still OnPage.org. Our Managing Directors, Chapter Leads, and Product Owners therefore invested several weeks of hard work in the preparation of a 90-minute Masterclass.
It was a bold step to use the largest master class room with space for 800 participants, but we at Ryte love taking risks! A full hall with an audience of enthusiastic Ryte users and SEO beginners took part in our 90-minute Deep Dive Session.

Every Masterclass visitor also received our brand new merchandising items such as a notebook and a webcam cover. They literally "went like hotcakes" - and even Lars Ulrich from Metallica now owns one of the coveted Ryte webcam covers!

Visitors to our Masterclass received exciting insights from seven speakers about our successful rebranding process from OnPage.org to Ryte. The product owners and chapter leads not only gave detailed insights into the rebranding workflows and the challenges they faced, but also gave the audience a taste of our brand-new products.

The Online Marketing Rockstars Festival is also known for its legendary parties and an exclusive supporting programme. On the first evening, the Expo Hall was transformed into a party location where Bausa, Fünf Sterne Deluxe and Oli P. heated up the crowd. We had enough reasons to celebrate, but the extremely positive feedback we received for both our presence at the fair and the Ryte Masterclass was the icing on the cake for us this evening!

The second day of the fair was in no way inferior to the first in terms of line-up. Stage guests such as marketing professor Scott Galloway, Instagram fitness queen Kayla Itsines, content star Tim Urban of Wait But Why, and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich provided visitors with insights into the industry in the form of lectures, panels and interviews.
Our Managing Director Marcus Tandler also rocked the stage with his lecture: "SEO will never die" and provided the audience with practical tips and insights on SEO and the use of Ryte in his 180-page SlideStorm at the Expo Deep Dive Stage.

OMR founder Philipp Westermeyer team not only scored points in terms of line-up and atmosphere; the organisation and technical setup also left a positive impression. For example, thanks to the practical OMR app, visitors had a helpful overview of the various talks and were always kept up to date with the most important news.
Our booth was also full of interested visitors over the two days. They were comprehensively advised by the Ryte team, and got an insight into the software. As well as making interesting new contacts, we also had the chance to meet old acquaintances again after a long time.
After three eventful days in Hamburg, we draw a true rock star conclusion: We will definitely be back next year, and we thank the OMR team for the great event!
