Your projects

We're looking for someone with a ton of great marketing and growth experience, who is willing to challenge conventions and is up for creating a new category. Someone who is a risk taker and willing to make big bets on new ideas and opportunities. You will need to be analytical with a growth mindset, yet understand the power of brand building in order to drive international size and scale. This role will require you to embrace speed, agility and flexibility in your day to day working environment as well as being comfortable feeling uncomfortable.

  • Prioritize and build alignment to reach marketing objectives across the organization by working across teams to deeply understand what drives great results, campaign success, customer insights, and ultimately, customer growth
  • Lead the marketing team across various functional areas toward a common goal of customer acquisition and retention. (SEO, Paid Media, Social, Email, PR & Comms, Influencer Marketing, etc.)
  • Defining and maintaining market segmentation, messaging and go-to-market plans
  • Building and owning the Demand Generation engine, working in alignment with Sales to own the end-to-end planning and execution of campaigns
  • Building brand awareness within existing and new international markets
  • Gathering qualitative and quantitative insights to inform messaging, brand and strategic decisions for Marketing
  • Creating compelling integrated marketing content to drive lead generation and growth at scale (eg. messaging, presentations, guides, videos)
  • Own the marketing budget P&L and reporting on return on investment
  • Build a social and community-led content function that is deeply in tune with the SEO and Digital Marketing industries, to consistently engage and grow our audience
  • Support the launch of new products, and provide insights to maximize market potential
  • Oversee the expansion of the Growth vertical, identifying opportunities through experimentation and delivering great return on investment

What we expect from you

  • 8 years experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in a people management role
  • Candidates with previous B2B technology SaaS experience and experience marketing to a developer community are strongly preferred
  • Experience and a KPI-driven approach to demand generation
  • Startup experience, strategic thinker and comfort in things moving fast
  • Belief in the power of brands - through your own experience in building brands - and an appetite to be bold to build an iconic brand
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and/or professional development expertise to drive high performance across Marketing teams
  • Previous ownership of large marketing budgets, without being overly reliant on them
  • International expertise, with oversight of activity in multiple global territories
  • Exceedingly collaborative but resourceful - comfortable leading efforts while coordinating with other members, while maintaining an “owner” mentality and driving projects to completion
  • Proactive and creative problem-solver with the ability to identify problems and solve them independently
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute
  • Exceptional EQ, communication skills, and ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships up, down, and across the organization
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats, and ability to deliver high-quality results in a rapidly-evolving environment
